This is an original 1892 black and white halftone print of the statue in Genoa, Italy of Victor Emmanuel II of Italy. He is shown, as he often is, atop his horse in the cavalry army. Called "Father of the Fatherland," Victor Emmanuel was the King of Sardinia until 1861 when he united the kingdoms of Italy and assumed the title King of Italy.
