1893 Print Sons Prescott Hall Butler Saint Gaudens NICE - ORIGINAL CT2

This is an original 1893 print from a drawing in charcoal by Kenyon Cox of the bas-relief by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, engraved by J. H. E. Whitney, which appeared in The Century Magazine, November 1887. The print has a copyright date of 1887 by The Century Co., and the actual image measures approximately 5 x 6.5 inches.

These large format proofs were printed as a collection in 1893 on a fine paper stock, uncommon for late 19th century printing. Wonderfully preserved for well over a century, these fine art proofs are exceptional, and excellent original images for framing.
