This is an original 1902 black and white photogravure of Charles James Fox (Jan. 24, 1749-Sept. 13, 1806) of the British Privy Council. He is noted in history as being a revolutionary sympathizer, offering support to the French Revolution even when it was unpopular, speaking openly against King George III and even wore the colors of the Army of George Washington. He was also the main liberal figurehead in the rise of liberal-conservative systems of governing in politics (with William Pitt the Younger as the flip-side).
