This is an original 1906 black and white halftone print of a portrait of Roman Catholic priest, philosopher, and statesman Stanisław Wawrzyniec Staszic (1755-1826). He was a prominent figure of the Polish Enlightenment and is known for his political writings during the Great Sejm (parliament) of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
