This is an original 1934 halftone print of doctors in Lourdes, France. In 1858, a young girl named Bernadette Soubirous saw a woman who called herself 'the Immaculate Conception,' who was believed to be the Virgin Mary. Since then, hundreds of people visit the city for healing, and for religious purposes. Photography by Lacaze.
