This is an original 1942 halftone print featuring an image of Louise Phelps Kellogg (1862-1942), an historian, editor and author of Wisconsin.

In 1901, Kellogg was a research assistant to the Society's executive officer, Reuben Gold Thwaites, in the library of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Reuben Gold Thwaites and Kellogs edited three volumes of selections from the Draper manuscripts dealing with the Revolutionary War in the Upper Ohio Valley.
