This is an original 1951 color tipped-in print of a portrait of Madame de Senonnes. The original artwork in this print was created by artist Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres (1780-1867) in 1814. Ingres was born in France and is known for his Neoclassical style paintings. He considered himself to be a painter of history, but was also known for his portraits.
