Gleason's Pictorial Collection — 1852-1854 Mid-Victorian America

A collection of antique wood engravings from the 1852-1854 Gleason's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion. Founded by "the father of illustrated journalism" Frederick Gleason in 1851, this 19th century illustrated periodical was published in Boston, Massachusetts. It provides an excellent historical record of people, places, and events important to mid-Victorian America.

This collection is worth taking time to peruse as it includes some extremely rare interesting pieces that would make for exceptional conversation pieces, or centerpieces in a collage wall. Take a peek at items like Ben Franklin's Art of Making Money Plenty, The Lord's Prayer, and the set of National Traditional Costumes.
