This is an original 1883 black and white wood engraving of the Plaza of San Domingo in Mexico City. The church of the same name is to the south and flanked to the west by the Portal de Evangelistas. This area is now known for scribes with typewriters offering services to illiterate clients. However, the area is now also known for falsification of documents.
