"Chicago Auditorium"

This is an original 1900 black and white in-text wood engraving of the historic facade of the Chicago Auditorium Building that is located at 430 South Michigan Avenue in the city of Chicago, Illinois (IL) during the Victorian era. The theater was the first home of the Chicago Civic Opera and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It was also the first building to be equipped central air conditioning system and the first to be entirely lit by incandescent light bulbs. It was built in 1889.

This 112+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging throughout. Light creasing. There is light bleedthrough on this piece from the verso. Please note: There is printing on the verso.
