This is an original 1901 black and white halftone print of Dove Cottage in Grasmere of Cumbria's Lake District in England. This cottage started as a public house but was eventually home of English Lake Poet William Wordsworth and after that, it was gifted to his friend and fellow writer Thomas de Quincey. Today the building is owned by the Wordsworth Trust and is open to visitors.

The Literary Association of the English Lakes or the English Lake Poets were a collection poets and writers who lived in the picturesque Lake District of England in the 19th and 20th centuries. They were associated based simply on their subject matter, being inspired by the Lake District, and by their residence to that region of England. Notable scribes from this association were William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Dorothy Wordsworth.
