This is an original 1901 black and white halftone print of Greta Hall in Cumbria, England. This hall, now a gorgeous bed and breakfast, played host to the English Lake Poets of the 19th Century as it was once home to writers Robert Southey and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

The Literary Association of the English Lakes or the English Lake Poets were a collection poets and writers who lived in the picturesque Lake District of England in the 19th and 20th centuries. They were associated based simply on their subject matter, being inspired by the Lake District, and by their residence to that region of England. Notable scribes from this association were William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Dorothy Wordsworth.
