This is an original 1898 black and white print ad for George A. Loud, Interior Decorator, promoting artistic draperies, foreign and domestic wall papers, frescoing and painting, custom furniture, upholstering and carpets; located at 4 Elm Street, Worcester, Massachusetts. This ad features a halftone image of the Union Church, today known as the Union Congregational Church or the Chestnut Street Congregational Church, located at 5 Chestnut Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Architects: Earle and Fisher. Builders: Webb Granite and Construction Company. This building is a historic Congregational church built in 1895 in a Gothic Revival style. In 1980, this site was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Period Paper has obtained a rare collection of original late 19th century prints and advertisements from the city of Worcester Massachusetts. These images are views on and adjacent to the routes of the Worcester Consolidated Street Railway.
