This is an original 1877 black and white wood engraving of the lush jungle interior of the Island of Madagascar located off the coast of the African continent. Three natives and their infant can be seen crossing the fallen tree being used as a footbridge. Somewhere in the wilderness are four marooned zoo animals from central park.
