1883 Japanese Terra Cotta Statue Boy Chromolithograph - ORIGINAL OJ1

Regular price $224.95 USD
Unit price  per

This is an original 1883 chromolithograph of a Japanese terra cotta statue which appears to be of a wealthy pilgrim or nomadic (perhaps Mongolian) chief, accompanied by the figure of a boy carrying a water gourd, wallet, and small bag. This piece is from the collection of Monsieur S. Bing of Paris.

Period Paper has obtained an exquisite collection of Japanese art prints and art plates (including color prints; halftone prints; heliogravures; and chromolithographs). This is truly a rare collection for the connoisseur of Japanese art. (Please note: many of the plates are accompanied by a page, or more, of descriptive text which will be included with the item.)
