1888 Chromolithograph Litter Palanquin 18th Century France Table LCH4

This is a rare original 1888 color chromolithograph which depicts, in fine detail, several of the exquisite things one found find among the possessions of the aristocrats in 18th century France. The litter, seen from two different angles, is made of sculpted and gilded wood with paintings of flowers decorating the sides. The candelabra in the center was commissioned especially for General La Fayette after America was recognized as being independent, and the beautiful gilded table has decorations made of chased bronze and gilded wood.
