This is a rare original 1888 color chromolithograph which depicts several Medieval objects from 15th and 16th century European bedchambers. It was common, in noble homes, to find religious icons such as the Virgin or Christ represented in sculpture and paintings. Paneled cabinets in dip-and-triptychs enabled artists to complete beautiful biblical and saintly scenes with multiple surfaces to work on.
