This is an original 1912 black and white halftone print of a portrait of Catalan operatic mezzo-soprano Maria Gay, born Maria de Lourdes Lucia Antonia Pichot Gironés (1879-1943). During her career, Maria performed at La Scala in Milan, Italy and the Boston Opera Company.
