This is an original 1925 tipped-in color print of a woman peeling apples while two other girls are also around in the kitchen. Pieter De Hooge (or Hooch) showed a preference for warm, bright colors (red especially) and often extended his perspective to embrace another room seen through a corridor and confined himself to a single room.
