1939 Tipped-In Print Portrait Sarah Siddons Thomas Gainsborough Actress XAN3

This is an original 1939 tipped-in color print of a portrait Thomas Gainsborough did of stage actress Sarah Kemble Siddons, whose most famous role by far was that of Lady Macbeth. She died in 1831, but her legacy lives in the Sarah Siddons Society, founded in Chicago during the 1950s.
