"Haidee and Don Juan"
This is an original circa 1901 black and white wood engraving of a Romantic style painting by Ford Madox Brown (1821-1893) entitled "The Finding of Don Juan by Haidee" that depicted a scene from the satiric poem "Don Juan" by Lord Byron where Haidee and her nurse Zoe find the body of Don Juan washed up on the beach after a storm sank his ship in the Aegean sea.
