This is an original 1885 black and white cover for LIFE magazine featuring a cartoon of a man and woman speaking outdoors. They both hold guns, a guitar ad dog sit nearby, and they discuss a beautiful woman. This December 24, 1885 cover is intricately designed with the classic LIFE motifs of cherub babies, an old angel playing violin, and the plaques reading society, literature, politics, and drama-- illustrated by J. A. Mitchell.
