This is an original 1882 monochrome relief line-block map featuring the town of Queensferry, Scotland. Each year, Queensferry hosts "The Ferry Fair" in which " a local man is covered from head-to-toe in sticky burrs which adhere to his undergarments", leaving "only the shoes, hands, and two eye holes exposed". Once in costume, this local becomes known as "The Burry Man" and is forced to slowly walk around the town while "enthusiastic children go from door-to-door collecting money on his behalf".
