This is an original 1893 black and white print ad for Beecham's Pills. Created by Thomas Beecham around 1842, the pills contained ginger, aloe and soap, among other lesser ingredients. They were advertised as a cure-all, like most pills, tonics and pharmaceuticals at the time; however, they actually did aid in the digestive process as they functioned as a laxative.
