This is an original 1907 halftone print of the Children's Speaking Pipe in Stockton-on-Tees, England. This educational method taught children the sayings and teachings of the Archdeacon Colley, Rector of Stockton, Warwickshire, by rewarding them for repeating each correct saying with an apple or orange. If the children successfully completed all twelve sayings they were rewarded with a shilling.

This 104+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. No creases. No natural defects. Some light surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note there is printing on the reverse. The brown mark on the left side of this print is not actually there.
