This is an original 1917 black and white print ad for Smith Brothers cough drops. The ad writes, "O'er muddy roads and cobbled streets, rickety-bang, rambled the old shay to the village store-- Grandpa with the reins, the boys on back." Pictured are the brothers, William and Andrew. The company was founded in 1852 by their father. Shown in the image is the word "trade" and "mark" underneath the images of the men. People incorrectly called the men Trade Smith and Mark Smith instead of seeing the word "trademark".
