This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Victor Emmanuel III, and the capitol and palaces. St. Peter's is the largest of all Christian churches and is said to be the burial site of Saint Peter. Michelangelo helped with the architecture of the building, and designed the dome. Victor Emmanuel III served as the king of Italy from 1900 to 1946. Shown in the bottom image is the Monument of Victor Emmanuel, the Column of Trajan, the Forum, the Palatine, and the capitol and palaces.
