This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of snake charmers in India performing with their cobras, and an image of Indians carrying bloated skins of animals to the streams to wade with. The caption writes, "The skins of bullocks are inflated with air and easily carry the navigator across streams, although they are as skittish and difficult for the Tyro to handle as a canoe."
