This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a torpedo on the U. S. S. Oklahoma, and the British aircraft carrier called the Eagle, nicknamed the 'ugly duckling.' Also shown is a depth bomb and a concrete observation tower on the British ship Iphigenia. The caption for the torpedo writes, "Torpedo on the deck of the U. S. S. Oklahoma. This deadly weapon of offense is now a part of the equipment of modern ships in all navies. It is practically a vessel in itself, being carried by its own machinery to the desired target."
