This is an original 1923 two-page black and white print article (two single-sided pages) titled "How the Picture is Made" with halftone illustrations of the various stages of silent film production and the people involved in those stages including: the scenario chief in charge of script preparation; the casting director; the technical director in charge of planning the set; the art director in charge of 'dressing" the set; the lighting expert and electricians in charge of lighting the set; musicians used during emotional scenes to put the actors in the mood; the director (Marshall Neilan); the camera crew including the cameramen, assistant and continuity clerk; the drying room for film after shooting; the film editor and cutter who select scenes and assemble the final product; and lastly, the publicity man (Pete Smith) to market the film. This is an excellent original print item of interest to the collector of silent film era memorabilia. Please see both images.

This 89+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Light creasing. No natural defects. No surface rub. No water damage. There is a small tear in the left margin of the first page and in the right margin of the second page.
