This is an original 1883 black and white photolithograph of a drawing by William Hogarth (1697-1764) that served as the frontspiece to "Perspectives of Architecture" by John Joshua Kirby (1716-1774). The piece depicted a cherub reading from Palladio's architecture and pointing to a small classical temple.
