This is an original 1893 monochrome copper engraving of the lovely Ann Marie Louis d'Orléans, Duchess of Montpensier (1672-1693). She is best remembered for her role in the second Fronde, an uprising of select members from the French nobility which divided the nation under King Louis XIV.
