This is an rare original 1907 black and white print ad for agricultural real estate in Maywood Colony in Corning, California, courtesy of W. N. Woodson.

After its Native American occupation, the town of Maywood was only a cow pasture, until real estate developer May Wood lent her name to the housing project that had recently been initiated in the area. By 1924, the town became incorporated. Today, the town is the third smallest incorporated town in the Los Angeles County.
