This is an original 1911 black and white print ad for Graflex Cameras. This company began around 1890, under the ownership of William F. Folmer and William E. Schwing. The most notable photograph taken with a Graflex Camera was Joe Rosenthal's World War II image of the U.S. Marines raising the American Flag on Mount Suribachi at Iwo Jima. This photograph won the Pulitzer Prize, as well as inspired a large bronze statue in Washington D. C., a postage stamp and a national war-bond poster. The company was bought by Eastman Kodak in 1905.
