This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Kaiser Wilhelm II and General Von Bothmer reviewing the troops during the Galician campaign. The caption writes, "Kaiser Wilhelm II and General von Bothmer passing his troops in review at the period in the Galician campaign when the tide of battle, which had hitherto favored the Russians under the Grand Duke Nicholas, was beginning to turn in favor of the Central Powers. The Kaiser hurried to the front in person in order to inspire his troops for the impending drive."
