This is an original 1951 black and white print ad for Republic Steel of Cleveland, Ohio. The ad features an image of a couple being woken up in bed by the knocks of a police officer. The ad writes, "I couldn't get back to sleep for a couple of hours. Kept thinking suppose it was the secret police! But that was nonsense. Here in America the police help us... not hound us like they do in countries where folks have forgotten what the word Freedom means.
