This is an original 1910 halftone print of Diaz' country palace-- the castle of Chapultepec, or Bosque de Chapultepec, in Mexico City. Porfirio Diaz was a Mexican-American war volunteer, and a hero during the French intervention. However, the general is usually considered as a dictator. He fell from power during the Mexican Revolution.
