This is an original 1936 black and white print ad for the anti-war efforts of World Peaceways of 103 Park Avenue, New York, NY. The ad features an illustration by E.V. Johnson that depicts rows of white crosses in a military cemetery. The ad also includes some of the most bizarre sentences in the history of copywriting, including; "$25,000 will seem a bargain basement figure in comparison to the cost of blowing a decent human being to hell" and "certain people have worked out the theory that war exists to save the world from overpopulation. Charming thought, isn't it?"
