This is an original 1926 double-spread black and white print with examples of British art in advertising from Art in Advertising by Percy V. Bradshaw. This wonderful display of of 31 images includes the work of such artists as: Gordon Nicoll, Septimus E. Scott, Frank J. Mason, Edmund J. Sullivan, H. H. Harris, F.C. Herrick, W. Smithson Broadhead, Frank Brangwyn, Fred Taylor, and Charles Fouqueray.

Period Paper has obtained an unusual and scarce collection of printers' samples of vintage art and illustration advertising art from 1926. These splendid images are in very good condition and would look magnificent framed. The collection was published by The West Virginia Paper Company or Westvaco which was was established in 1888 by William Luke along the Potomac River in what is now known as Luke, Maryland. In January 2002 Westvaco merged with the Mead Corporation to form MeadWestvaco.

CONDITION

This 85+ year old Item is rated Very Fine. No tears. No water damage. The center crease is original. There are several staple holes along the center crease.
