This is an original 1873 black and white double-page wood engraving of an illustration by Charles Edward Johnson (1832-1913) that depicts the; Warrior-class armored frigate HMS Black Prince, HMS Monarch, armored frigate HMS Achilles, broadside ironclad HMS Sultan, Devastation-class mastless turret ship HMS Devastation, wood paddle dispatch boat HMS Vigilant, ironclad battleship HMS Audacious, Minotaur-class armored frigates HMS Agincourt and HMS Northumberland, Hector-class armored frigate HMS Hector, and the central-battery ironclad HMS Hercules, of the Channel Fleet of the British Royal Navy during the Victorian era that were sent to escort King Naser al-Din Shah Qajar of Persia across the English Channel during his visit to England.
