This is an original 1913 tipped-in halftone print of William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin. Born in 1824, he was a mathematical physicist and engineer at the University of Glasgow, and is most well-known for his recognition of absolute zero, his legacy being the SI unit the Kelvin.
