This is an ultra rare original 1913 halftone print of the Gala Week at New Rochelle, New York. This festival celebrated the city's 225th anniversary of its founding by the Huguenots. The images feature their costumed recreation and procession, including Mrs. Clarence Bleakley (President of The Daughters of The American Revolution) as she spoke at the unveiling of the Gov. Leisler Statue; parade floats; the first historical home of the Huguenots in New Rochelle; and the United States Naval Militia who joined in on the procession.

CONDITION

This 98+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Heavy aging in margins. Moderate wrinkling. No natural defects. Some heavy surface rub. Large tear. No water damage. Please note that there is rub from the print on the reverse. Please also note that there are black and white speckles within the images. There are also large tears in the left and right margins that go into the image.
