This is an original 1931 halftone print of sheep herding in Australia. The caption writes, "Australia's bread and butter are her primary products, wheat and the wool of sheep, which she exports. Her present economic crisis was precipitated by the world depression in their prices. In the face of diminishing income, she finds it difficult to support herself in the style to which she has resolved to be accustomed-- for Australian standards are high and the majority of her people, her city-dwellers, produce nothing any other continent wants."
