"The Battle of Chattanooga"

This is an original 1910 two-color lithographed map of the Battle of Chattanooga, Tennessee, which consisted of a series of maneuvers and minor conflicts between September and November of 1863, which came to a climatic conclusion with the Union Army of the Cumberland charging the Confederate forces stationed on Missionary Ridge on November 25th. The Battle for Chattanooga cost the Union army nearly 6,000 casualties, and the Confederates over 6,600. With southern Tennessee all but secured, the Union would begin its Atlanta Campaign to work its way into the heart of the South.
