This is an original 1931 black and white print ad for the George Lawley and Son Corporation in Neponset, Massachusetts. Founder, George Lawley, was born in London to a family of boat builders. He moved his family business to Massachusetts around 1874, during the yacht boom. In 1885 and 1886, two of Lawley's company's boats, the Puritan and the Mayflower, won America's Cup.
