William T Hornaday Collection (India, Ceylon, Malay Peninsula, Borneo)


A collection from 1910 of ethnological and zoological wood engravings (and two maps) of the travels of the American hunter, naturalist and zoologist, William Temple Hornaday (1854-1937). From 1877-1878 Hornaday traveled through India, Ceylon (present day Sri Lanka), the Malay Peninsula, and Borneo collecting wildlife specimens and making sketches of the indigenous peoples of Southeast Asia.
