A beautiful set of hand-tipped prints from 1936, illustrated by artist Willy Pogány, of the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning's Sonnets from the Portuguese. Each color print is tipped in on a cream colored stock.
William Andrew (Willy) Pogány (1882-1955)
Hungarian-born Willy Pogány began his studies in engineering but later switched to art. He illustrated many children's books and did many illustrations for the Hearst magazines.
