John Falter
(1910-1982) John Falter was born in Plattsmouth, Nebraska and his small town experiences were often the subject of his art. He painted many pictures for the covers of The Saturday Evening Post. He also was interested in western themes and produced a series of historical paintings for the 1976 Bicentennial commissioned by the 3M Company. He designed a number of recruitment posters during the war as well as doing illustrations for ReaderÕs Digest books and portraits of famous people.
