Petruccelli's artwork was featured on the covers and pages of several American magazines, most notably the 24 covers he illustrated for Fortune magazine from 1933 to 1945. Armed with an early training in textile design, Petruccelli illustrated using repeating images and bold graphics which gave his work an Art Deco appearance.
