This is an original 1945 halftone print of soldiers establishing communications upon their arrival in Dijon, France (Republique Française). The man in the upper right corner is creating teletype communications to SHAEF (the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force).

"Conad History" (Continental Advance) was created to preserve the history of the United States Army supply forces, and to provide a basis for future studies by the United States War Department. The book covered the continental advance, communications zones, the European theater of operations, and the United States Army during 1944 and 1945. The Conad staff began in Africa and traveled to central Europe where they finished.
